About Us:
Inspired to be the Remnant of believers in Jesus Christ, Cornerstone Chapel Cville was loosely organized in the late Spring of 2022. Many of us had begun 'worshiping online' at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg during the pandemic when churches were mandated to stay closed. As 'woke' crept into the pulpit, many of us felt abandoned by our local church community.
When the restrictions relaxed in late 2021, it was apparent that Christians in Cville needed fellowship. An anonymous donation paid for room rental and a handful of believers gathered one Sunday morning. We were led to pray, worship with music, and learn Biblical truths. This is the "cornerstone" of our fellowship.
Cornerstone Chapel Cville offers an oasis for believers, to draw nearer to God. Our koinonia community (*see definition below) is not a denomination, and we invite anyone seeking an "un-woke" fellowship of believers to join us.

The Charlottesville Christian community was adversely affected by the global pandemic of 2020-21. Too many churches lost their way to spread the gospel message. It's easy to find inspiration by livestreaming the teachings and programs at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg. If you are unable to attend in person, join us each Sunday as we 'live stream together' with believers of all backgrounds and traditions.

* In Greek, koinonia means sharing and participation. We hold onto the hope of our salvation. With sincere hearts, we are assured of our great God's faithfulness. Gathering together, we are better equipped to understand & share the gospel. Led by virtual/live stream studies and events, Pastor Gary Hamrick's Bible-based instruction spurs us on each week. The Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal with God, empowers us to become more like Jesus Christ.
